Made this recipe exactly as shown. Came out perfect! The only thing I did different was leave some juice out after cooking it for a bit. It works better if you let it sit until it is completely cooled off before cutting into it. The juice becomes almost gel like, making it easier to stay together. I made two more to gift and everyone loved it.

So three cans plus the juice from one and a half? Does that mean 4 and a half cans of juice or one and half cans of juice and I get rid of the juice from the other cans?

I made this recipe on December 18, 2021 and followed the instructions to the letter, with one exception. More on that in a minute. The result was a soupy filling, not set and it looks terrible. The exception is what to do about the amount of cherry juice to use. You say the juice from 1 and 1/2 cans of cherries. Just how much is that exactly? I watched the video over and over to try and catch the amount you used but to no avail. I guess I will just keep looking to the recipe to use.

What size pie plate did you use? And is it a deep dish plate? Thank you very much.

Thank you for demonstrating how to prep canned cherries for a pie. I recently bought 3 cans of pricey "Oregon" cherries and thought I'd try to make a pie rather than buy one with all kinds of additives in it. Yours looks quite delectable. Thank you again and be well!
